Annex Three asynchronous communications server offers comprehensivefeatures and the lowest price per port. The annex connects 64 serialports and a parallel port to Ethernet LANs, using TCP/IP or LAT. Itsmodular, multiprocessor design provides scalable high performance and isuser expandable. The serial ports can handle most serial devices --terminals, modems, printers, plotters, PCs running NFS or terminalemulation software, X-terminals, and even non-networked host systems. Theparallel port adds either a Centronics- or Dataproducts-compatibleprinter to the network.With Annex Three, users can connect to any host on the network and canshare valuable resources like printers and modems. Remote users caneasily connect to the network through Annex Three because it has the fullmodem control required for today's high-speed modems. Besides having itsown network administration utility, Annex Three can report to an SNMPnetwork manager system.Features include:
